Back to School Guide: Show Your Back-to-school Lesson Plan in PowerPoint

Script out your PowerPoint lesson plans from the day one back to school yet? Kids are going back to school, and as a teacher, you face the hot potato of ice-break, confidence-rebuild task, always beginning with a cheerful lesson plan. And most of you teaching peers tool the first back-to-school lesson plan with the smart MS PowerPoint. Sometimes, these back-to-school lesson plans are transformed from PowerPoint to video or DVD video that is cooler and that can span from across the Internet to a home TV. Can't believe it? That's absolutely true, and quite simple if you take a screen-capture program like Camtasia or a PowerPoint to DVD and video converter like Moyea PPT to DVD Burner.

Nevertheless, you should brick up your back-to-school lesson plan first - to define what you want to teach, to develop clear and specific objectives, to write an Anticipatory Set and step-by-step procedures to reach the objectives, to include a closure for the lesson plan, and to figure out your assessment/evaluation. Only then, can it be the best time to beautify it with PowerPoint and finalize it in sleek video or DVD. If you have no idea of how to begin, these sites with back to school lesson plans may give you a glimmer:

NCSL offers a systemic back-to-school program with lesson plans ranging from high school, middle school and elementary school. You can download a proper one for classroom use.

The Lesson Plans Page hosts a colorful collection of back to school lesson plans for kids. Discover one that comes to your taste, and also submit your fabulous lesson plan to the learning community.

A to Z Teacher Stuff provides you an abundant directory of lesson plans and teaching resources, containing from back-to-school themes and thematic units, literature & book activities, to math, science, learning centers, social studies, computers, reading, writing, P.E./health, cooperative learning.

Scholastic sets back-to-school lesson plans that you can grasp at a glance by well-organized categories, either from pre-school to grade 12, or from math to science.

Teaching with Historic Places lets you celebrate the first days of new school year with lesson plans that consider important aspects of the history of education and educational facilities. Created by National Park Service interpreters, preservation professionals, and educators, the lessons are free and ready for immediate classroom use by students in history and social studies classes.

To deliver the back to school lesson plan via a sheer paper or an audiovisual presentation, it depends on your existing classroom facilities. Personally, I prefer the audiovisual teaching method – whether in original PowerPoint or processed DVD or video. If a picture is worth a thousand of words, an animated video, especially a movie-feel DVD must be worth ten thousands. Give a try to such a dynamic practice of lesson plan to gear your resistant kids back to school. Here I would like to add a word on how to turning your lesson plan presentation to video or DVD with Moyea PPT to DVD Burner.

It is a 3-click task.

1. Install and launch the .exe file of Moyea PPT to DVD Burner.

2. Import your PowerPoint presentation of back to school lesson plan, select an output option, either DVD (you can choose Standard or High Definition) or video (about 12 popular video format in total), set the output details in Advanced Settings and indentify with a logo if necessary.

3. Click the Start button, under the Burn tab, to start converting your lesson plan PPT file to video or DVD.

Note: The PowerPoint to DVD and video conversion program has a built-in burning engine that can burn your presentation to a blank DVD.

Then, at the first day of the new school year, you can show the students your spectacular lesson plan slideshow with a projected laptop or even a DVD player attached to a big-screen TV. It is also a good idea to leave a moment for independent practice during the lesson plan slideshow.

  • Phase 1: Compile the sermon presentation script in PowerPoint

  • Phase 2: Convert the sermon PowerPoint presentation to video

Procedures of Creating a Sermon Slideshow Video

Compose sermon presentation in PowerPoint Phase 1: Compile the sermon presentation script in PowerPoint

To make a thrilling sermon slideshow video, you should develop a thrilling sermon PowerPoint original first.

Generally, there are 5 steps for composing a complete PowerPoint presentation, shown as below:

a. Select a matching layout for the sermon PowerPoint
This includes the slide mode, PowerPoint background or template. Although MS PowerPoint itself has a few built-in templates for your sermon presentation, you can taste some others with a typical Christian style to outstand. You can get free Christian PowerPoint templates and backgrounds at eBibleTeacher.com, ChristianPPT.com, ParadiseDesign.com

Step 2 b. Add or import the text with illustrations for the sermon PowerPoint

The core is the content. Your audience would be evoked quickly by an illustrated, well-organized sermon story. Structure the text and the pictures. Use short words and phrases instead of long sentences. Note that audience would often turn around for another when coming to a video with blurred graphics. So remember to choose quality pictures for your sermon PowerPoint. Tune the text and the pictures till perfect. See also PowerPoint font tips for your sermon presentation.

Step 3 c. Wing the sermon PowerPoint presentation with animations and transitions

How would you like the sermon presentation move on? You'd better rely on the magic of MS PowerPoint, a rich range of animations and transitions. Animate the Christian artwork to achieve more.

Step 4 d. Give a dynamic mood (music or movie clip) to the sermon PowerPoint Church is always associated with merry hymns. Why not move the merry mood to your sermon PowerPoint presentation? Any Christian online will be very likely to hear your dynamic message! Alternatively, you can use an old movie clip that fits the sermon to add a touch. Click here for details on how to insert music to your church PowerPoint presentation, how to add a video to your Christian PowerPoint

Step 5 e. Test! Test! Test!

A presentation without tested practice is never a good presentation. When you are about to finish the sermon presentation, don't forget to test the integral effect. Check the sermon
slideshow from a global view, looking through to see whether each PowerPoint element is coherent with another. If you want the church sound to play across all the slides, check whether it is exactly as long as the slideshow. If not, adjust the slide transitions to make them accord.

Convert sermon PowerPoint presentation to video Phase 2: Convert the sermon PowerPoint presentation to video

Now the sermon presentation is ready, it is time to stream it to video with Moyea PPT to Video Converter. How to Add an iTunes Sound to PowerPoint Presentation

Add music, add a mood to your PowerPoint presentation. You wanna use a song from iTunes store as background music of the PowerPoint file? Oops, there is a format problem. PowerPoint doesn't accept iTunes music, which is encoded in M4P. You need to make a format alternation before inserting the iTunes sound into your presentation.

Here I will discuss in 2 sections how to convert iTunes music to a PowerPoint-supported audio format, and how to import the converted iTunes sound to PowerPoint 2003/2007.

Section 1 Convert iTunes Music to PowerPoint compatible audio (e.g. MP3)

Mentioning this issue, we should know which sound formats are compatible with PowerPoint.
Audio file formats compatible with PowerPoint 2003/2007 include: AIFF, AU, MIDI, MP3, WAV, WMA
Among the sound formats above, MP3 is the most familiar to us, with its small size and good sound quality. So to convert iTunes music to PowerPoint compatible format often means to realize the conversion from M4P to MP3.
Generally, you can try these two ways to convert an iTunes track to MP3 audio format.

Method 1 Burn and Rip the iTunes music to MP3 for PowerPoint

  • In the iTunes store, select the track that you want to use in your PowerPoint presentation. Then burn it to an empty CD disk.
  • Open the disk with Windows Media Player, and rip music from the CD into a *.wma format. Right click on the track and choose to send to Windows Audio Converter. There you can choose the format as MP3 and save it to a folder.

Method 2 Convert iTunes to MP3 with Third-party Audio Converter

You can also use a third-party audio conversion tool to convert iTunes to MP3.
iTunes to MP3 Conversion software include: TUNEBITE Platinum, SoundTaxi Converter, 5star freeTunes, and AppleMacSoft DRM Converter for Mac
Choose one that fits to your system, and convert the iTunes M4P to PowerPoint-ready MP3.

Note: iTunes music files (M4P - "protected AAC") have DRM protection which prevent users from converting it to other formats or adding iTunes songs to PowerPoint presentation directly. To insert iTunes music to PowerPoint slide show as background music, you will need to remove DRM protection from iTunes Music and convert iTunes to MP3 for PowerPoint first.

Section 2 Import converted iTunes music to your PowerPoint presentation

Now, it's time to insert the iTunes MP3 sound to your PowerPoint presentation. Follow these steps:

  • a. Go to the slide where you want to add the iTunes MP3 sound. Select Insert -> Movies and Sounds -> Sound from File to insert the sound file from your local drive. Click OK.
  • b. Then you will see a message pop up asking how you want the sound to start in slide shows. Click Automatically.

For more about adding a MP3 file to PowerPoint, see in How to Set Background Music for PowerPoint

To play the iTunes music across all the slides, explore in How to Play a Sound across Multiple Slides in PowerPoint

To extract an iTunes MP3 sound from PowerPoint, take the audio video mix Moyea PPT to Video Converter

    5 "E"s Necessary for E-Learning PowerPoint Presentation

What you should master to make a knocking e-learning PowerPoint presentation for easy distribution and flexible reuse

Affordable and accessible, e-Learning is seizing a large portion of learning activities both in schools and in corporations. And the rapid growth of Internet and multimedia technologies including PowerPoint, flash, video and DVD, contributes a great to e-Learning in making it available to a multitude of learners with ease and flexibility. Among the most popular e-Learning technologies, PowerPoint-based tools are taking great popularity in formal academic and industry education. Here we sum up 5 tips (herein as 5 Es as each begins with Letter E) that should be kept in mind when making an e-Learning PowerPoint presentation. The 5 necessaries for an E-Learning presentation are listed below:

    1. Engaging

"Engaging" is to the content. Your e-Learning PowerPoint presentation must include engaging content capable of capturing the learners at the very first time. Avoid dulling your presentation by the so-called Death by PowerPoint, i.e. you should organize the whole story in a reasonable way - clear and brief rather than random and tedious. If it is a course presentation on Science, for example, you can use key phrases or words or graphics instead of complete long sentences to describe the topic, limit the number of slides to the most concise extent, put each title on the top of every slide for quick navigation, contrast different texts by a shift of colors, and apply animations and transitions sparingly to title messages (not to the text part) of the presentation.
A presentation with several dynamic effects can catch their eyes better than a plain one consisting only static pictures and texts, but too many effects will degrade it to a distraction. So think carefully before adding in a thrilling sound or movie clip to your e-Learning presentation.

    2. Evocative

"Evocative" means that the messages in your e-Learning presentation can evoke a positive response when conveyed to the learners. What you convey is what they are right in need. To make that, you must take a survey to ensure the topic you are going to talk by the presentation makes sense, and must plan how to present it in a way that appeals to the learners.
Suggestions: rehearse the presentation until perfect before you deliver it. You can practice it in a rehearsal room as if the learners were there, or ask someone as audience to give you his/her advice.

    3. Efficient

"Efficient" here is to the delivery of your e-Learning presentation. You made a wonderful learning item, but it failed to reach the target learners because they couldn't open the PowerPoint presentation. That is a lack of efficiency. As we know, files generated by PowerPoint are often too clumsy and fragile to carry via the Internet. To make it an easy access to the learners, you can upload the e-Learning presentation to the Web (an authorized website or your blog) for sharing online, or burn it to DVD as endurable disc handouts using software like Moyea PPT to DVD Burner.
Related: 6 Approaches to Putting PowerPoint on Web

    4. Enjoyable

"Enjoyable" indicates the e-Learning experience by your presentation. E-Learning itself is a convenient and flexible learning method, self-paced and available almost 24x7, without boundary of time and space. E-learning stuff on a PowerPoint presentation, however, is not a nice layout for learning community on the Web. If you want an interactive impact of your e-Learning presentation, then why not convert it to one of the most popular media formats throughout the Internet - flash video? That is a good way to show a complete look of your presentation online, since a direct link of PowerPoint to the Web may fail to retain all the dynamic effects like embedded sounds, movie clips as well as animations and transitions. Tools that can help transfer your e-Learning presentation to flash video include Moyea PPT4Web Converter, capable of creating a PowerPoint-based FLV file supportable by Adobe Flash Player and many other flash players.
Then, it becomes a cinch for you to put and share the hitless e-Learning PPT video at a learning community, or your teaching blog. Your students and other target learners can enjoy it more by a free exchange of ideas as comments on the slick PowerPoint video.

    5. Easy

"Easy" refers to two: the messages of your e-Learning presentation are easy to understand, while the content is easy to get. To put it straight, you should on the one hand compose the learning stuff, especially those with deep thoughts, in a simple manner that doesn't confuse a learner. On the other hand, make accessible copies of the presentation, via a CD-ROM, DVD, video or PDF, for later reuse by yourself and for the benefit of those involved who request a review of it.
    For your convenience of reference:
To burn your e-Learning presentation to CD or DVD, see in the post How to Burn PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) to CD or DVD
To save your presentation to PDF, go to Export Office Applications to PDF

E-Learning, a green method of learning, does brings us great convenience and opportunity these years. Bear in your mind the 5 Es - Engaging, Evocative, Efficient, Enjoyable and Easy as mentioned above to make an successful e-Learning course based on presentation.

Enhance E-learning with MS PowerPoint, DVD, Video & PDF

Still wondering how to draw those idle-minded students back from a carefree summer holiday? Integrating your class with multimedia technology should be a wise practice. As to class PowerPoint template, collect some classic packs from this Free Education PowerPoint Templates. Many teachers and lecturers have such a suffering experience: A sudden strike of their course presentation occurs when delivering on a different computer. That is because PowerPoint is fragile in transferring from a machine to another. Therefore, if you are to carry a Windows-based course presentation to a Mac, or to deliver it on a DVD player attached to TV for a small group, burn the course stuff to a DVD disc using reliable burning software like Moyea PPT to DVD Burner.

Prevent any loss of PowerPoint elements like sounds and movie clips in transferring

Compared with bloated PowerPoint, video is a better format that is easier, safer and more popular for web distribution. Put the video course to your teaching blog or any shared group, inviting the students to join and leave a comment so that you can get more interactive with them and improve the next lesson according to their feedbacks. For quick video creation out of your course presentation, Moyea PPT to Video Converter can help.
Click here to get a grasp of how to insert a PowerPoint video to your blog.

Save the PowerPoint course content to PDF
Apart from the above video or DVD extension of your course presentation, this Save to PDF mean a static preserve of your course presentation. Though animations and other dynamic effects in the original get lost once saved to PDF, the compact format brings a real ease in delivering your course content via email to share with your students.

If you are a PowerPoint 2007 user, you can save the course presentation straight to PDF. Microsoft provides a free Save as PDF or XPS add-in on its official website. After you download and install that Publish As PDF add-in, you can save your course stuff to PDF as email attachment. What if you use an earlier version like Office 2003? Then take Moyea PPT to PDF Converter (applies to MS Office 2000 and above) to generate a PDF copy of your course.

Integrated with modern multimedia technology, the PowerPoint-based e-Learning software tools reinforce the accessibility and reusability of your course content anywhere and at any place.

        • To remove any of the built-in slide layouts that accompany the default slide master, in the slide thumbnail pane, right-click each slide layout that you don't want to use, and then click Delete Layout.

        • To remove an unwanted, default placeholder, in the slide thumbnail pane, click the slide layout that contains the placeholder, click the border of the placeholder in the presentation window, and then press DELETE.

        • To add a text placeholder, in the slide thumbnail pane, click the slide layout that you want to contain the placeholder, and then do the following:

          1. On the Slide Master tab, in the Master Layout group, click Insert Placeholder, and then click Text.

          2. Click a location on the slide master, and then drag to draw the placeholder. Tip To resize a placeholder, drag the corner of one of its borders.

          3. Type descriptive text that prompts the users of your template to enter specific information.

        • To add other types of placeholders that contain content such as pictures, clip art, SmartArt graphics, charts, movies, sounds, and tables, on the Slide Master tab, in the Master Layout group, click the type of placeholder that you want to add.

        • To apply a theme to your presentation, on the Slide Master tab, in the Edit Theme group, click Themes, and then click a theme.

        • To change the background, on the Slide Master tab, in the Background group, click Background Styles, and then click a background.

        • To set the page orientation for all of the slides in your presentation, on the Slide Master tab, in the Page Setup group, click Slide Orientation, and then click either Portrait or Landscape.

        • To add text to appear in the footer at the bottom of all of the slides in your presentation, do the following:

          1. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Header & Footer.

          2. In the Header and Footer dialog box, on the Slide tab, select the Footer check box, and then type the text that you want to appear at the bottom of your slides.

          3. To display the footer content on all slides, click Apply to All. Note For more information about using headers and footers, see Add a header or footer and Change or delete header and footer information in a presentation.

    4. Click the Microsoft Office ButtonButton image, and then click Save As.

    5. In the File name box, type a file name, or do nothing to accept the suggested file name.

    6. In the Save as type list, click PowerPoint Template, and then click Save. Tip Save your templates to the Templates folder at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\ to make them easier to locate.

Create and Distribute a Class PowerPoint Presentation (II)

Creating a good PowerPoint presentation is the first step. Remember to practice over and over your class PowerPoint presentation until to a perfect extent. The next thing is distribution of the class presentation. How to distribute it depends on several factors, where the class PowerPoint presentation is made, where it is going to display, and how many students or classmates will attend to your class, etc.

I have mentioned in my previous post (Section I) how to make a fine class PowerPoint presentation, now I am to share with you how to distribute a PowerPoint masterpiece in the following Section II.

PowerPoint distribution tips Section II: Distribute a Sound Class PowerPoint Presentation

    1. Save your class PowerPoint file on the same computer
If your class presentation is created at and is to be distributed with the same computer (usu. your laptop), then simply leave it there. But by this method, you may run on certain risks of the vulnerable PowerPoint - computer corruption, Internet disconnection, and virus attacks. Many people do that, however, it is not recommended, especially when your class PowerPoint presentation is of critical importance.

    2. Simply e-mail your class PowerPoint file
It is a PowerPoint presentation of homework, and you are required to email to your teacher's account for review. In that case, simply e-mail the presentation.

    Note -

    • Don't email a class presentation unless you are sure that the recipient use the same OS (don't email from a PC to a Mac), the same version or later of PowerPoint program. Some people don't have MS PowerPoint installed on their computers, nor do they have a proper PowerPoint Viewer to read your class presentation.

    • Don't forget to include the whole PowerPoint components (the presentation itself, the sound file, the video file if there is any) in the same folder before zipping it to email. Otherwise, the sounds or video clips embedded in your class presentation will not play on the recipient's computer.

    • And don't email your class PowerPoint presentation if you are afraid of unwanted modification by others.

    3. Save your class PowerPoint content to video
    convert PowerPoint to video
For an online class, you can apply this simple but effective means - save your class PowerPoint content to video, which is more flexible for Web share. When your class PowerPoint content is finalized in protective video, you can email it with comfort or upload it to your website, blog, MySpace, or YouTube, and invite your students or classmates to join in. Nevertheless, finalize your PowerPoint presentation in video first, using some excellent conversion software like PowerPoint to Video Converter

    4. Save your class PowerPoint presentation onto a DVD disc
    burn PowerPoint to DVD
If you are to take your PowerPoint presentation from home to school, consider burning or saving it to a DVD disc. A DVD backup is a wise relief from your vulnerable PowerPoint presentation. You will neither suffer from such computer risks as computer corruption, virus attacks that may occur by Method 1, nor bother to any version trouble or cross-platform inability as may happen by Method 2. An additional benefit of this PowerPoint to DVD method is that you can play your class PowerPoint at a DVD player on big screen TV, just like a professional movie.
Software to burn your class PowerPoint to sleek DVD:
    PowerPoint to DVD Burner

    5. Save your class PowerPoint file as PDF
As to printing and reprinting, you can save your class PowerPoint as PDF. Before taking this means, you should make sure your recipient has Acrobat Reader or else PDF viewer on his/her computer. If your class presentation is composed on MS PowerPoint 2007, you can save it direct to PDF since there is a Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS Add-in for 2007. You can also use a standalone conversion app, e.g. PowerPoint to PDF Converter, to turn your class presentation into organized PDF. Save as PDF, and give a PDF copy to each attendant, when you intend to deliver your class presentation with full sense.

Voila. The remarkable teaching aid PowerPoint deserves your effort and taste. Take all the tips here on class presentation creation and distribution, and make full use of PowerPoint to improve your teaching.

Create and Distribute a Class PowerPoint Presentation (I)

As an easy and dynamic presentation tool, MS PowerPoint has been a popular alternative to the traditional blackboard aid in class. For teachers, a well-planned PowerPoint presentation appeals more to students of this digital epoch than a plain lecture without illustration. For students, a class report or research project delicately composed in PowerPoint is always more organized in look and more convenient for archive. So how to make and share a wonderful class presentation? In this post, you will find useful tips on creation and distribution of class PowerPoint presentations.

Section I: Create an Effective PowerPoint presentation

We know there are geniuses of speech, but there are very few. Most of us may fear to speak in public unless very very well-prepared. Never risk a successful class to a hasty PowerPoint presentation. Instead, build a written summary of your course carefully in PowerPoint. Here are several points you should bear in mind when composing a class presentation.

    1. Define the topic
To give a persuasive presentation, you need to keep in mind what you are conveying to the audience. Make sure you have a thorough understanding of the class topic. How long do you have to make your presentation? Are you able to use visual aids or handouts? You don't have to become an expert, or read every book or website ever written about your topic, but you should be able to answer any questions your teacher or classmates might give you.

    2. Know the style
To be classic or to be trendy? It depends on both the course stuff and the targeted audience. For example, if you are going to tell a serious subject to a group of college students, take on a PowerPoint template of lofty color; if it is a DIY class to kids less than 8, employ a colorful background along with funny animations in your presentation. Be sure the style and the subject matches in the class presentation. Click here for free PowerPoint templates and backgrounds

    3. Picture & animate it

As the saying goes, "A picture is worth a thousand of words". So do animations, video clips, and background sounds. A decent use of all those visual effects can bring a dramatic impact to your class PowerPoint presentation. Try to add some dynamics to set your class presentation off.

    4. Less is more
The key is simplicity. Use less stuff to convey more ideas. Avoid abuse of PowerPoint components, esp. animations and wipes. Include in each slide points of 3-7, in each bullet words of 3-7. Never put all points in one slide at once, or the audience will lose interest in listening further to your presentation. Use simple sentences rather than long complete ones. Keep one theme or background, one font set and one text animation effect.

    5. Edit by rehearsal
Rehearse your class presentation once done. Ask someone to comment on your rehearsal so that you can edit the PPT presentation for improvement.

    3 Don'ts with PowerPoint

PowerPoint is a fine authoring tool for you to build a dynamic presentation. But there are some actions you'd better avoid in your PowerPoint presentation unless you are clearly aware of what you're doing and why.

Think these three don'ts when you work with PowerPoint:

Don't save PowerPoint to an earlier version

PPT serves as a common format for Windows PowerPoint 97/2000/2002/2003 and Mac PowerPoint 98/2001/2004. An earlier PowerPoint version simply ignore stuff that it doesn't identify in PPT files saved by later versions. Just save your PowerPoint file the way it is if you want to share it with users of the same version.

Things are somewhat different if you use PowerPoint 2007, where you may want to save back to PowerPoint 97-2003 format for using on a computer installed with 97-2003 version. But maybe there are still compability problems. To prevent version trouble, the safest way is to save your PowerPoint to video or DVD with PowerPoint to DVD Burner

The only other backward-saving options are PowerPoint 95, PowerPoint 4 (in older versions of PowerPoint) and "PowerPoint 97-XXX & 95 Presentation" which saves both current and PowerPoint 95 versions of a presentation in the same file. However, the result is not satisfying - you will get bloated oversize PowerPoint files.

Unless a must to share files with people who still use PowerPoint 95, it is not necessary to save your PowerPoint presentation as anything but the normal PPT file type. And for those people, you may find it simpler to give them a DVD or video copy of your PowerPoint presentation.

Don't copy and paste pictures or any other stuff from the Internet into PowerPoint

Instead, right-click the picture, choose Save Picture As and save it to your hard drive. Then use Insert | Illustrations | Picture in PowerPoint 2007 or Insert | Picture | From File in PowerPoint 2003 to bring the picture in to your presentation.

If you copy and paste a picture or else thing direct from Internet, you will run the risk of creating a hard-to-remove link to the Internet from your presentation. This may cause Windows to try to connect to the Internet every time anyone opens the presentation. A real annoyance if ever there was one. And one that can be darned hard to track down and get rid of.

Don't link images to your PowerPoint

Similar to Don't 2, if you insert images by its link, you may notice an option to Link to the file. Unless you have a good reason for doing it, don't. PowerPoint's image links break very easily. It's generally safer and more effective to embed the files (in other words, insert them normally, not linked) into a PowerPoint presentation.

Put PowerPoint presentation to the iPod

I don't mean a simple patchwork of slide images onto iPod. Rather, what I mean is to put a whole PowerPoint slideshow to the iPod, without any loss of dynamic animations or recorded narrations.

Expecting your presentation to go on as sleek as a movie on the iPod, you can choose to convert PowerPoint to an iPod ready video. MS PowerPoint has a set of Save As options, like HTML and PDF, yet it doesn't support a Save As iPod Movie function. Nevertheless, that doesn't matter, while you can take some standalone conversion apps like PowerPoint to iPod Movie. The PowerPoint to iPod converter is really a two-click option, never bothering you to those complicated yet vain techniques.

    Here is the exact practice:

First, download a copy of PowerPoint to iPod Movie and install it on your computer.
Go to the download center of PowerPoint to iPod Movie, and pick a trial or a registered copy. It is recommended that you try the free demo to test its effect. If the program works well with your OS, then you can consider installing a full version on your PC.

Second, input one or more PPT file(s) that you would like to convert to iPod movie.
Click Add to import a PowerPoint file (PPT, PPS, PPTX, and PPSX) to the converter.

    PowerPoint to iPod - import

Make sure the Style has been set to "iPod Movie".

    output PowerPoint to iPod Movie

Finally, start converting after every essential is well set.
Customize the conversion parameters, e.g. watermarking the movie, adjusting video quality, inserting background music or your own narration, if it is necessary. Otherwise, simply click Start to begin the conversion.

When an iPod movie comes out, it's easy to hook it onto your own iPod. The sounds, animations, and your recorded voice narration can play as well on the iPod as you deliver the same PowerPoint presentation with a projector. Moreover, you can upload it to your blog or YouTube, making it quickly available to your friends and readers.

Apart from the above method I've mentioned, there are several other tips on putting PowerPoint presentation to iPod:

How to Add a PowerPoint Presentation to WordPress Blog

    PowerPoint Problem:

I am new to Wordpress and need to add a PowerPoint presentation to the blog. I have no clue how to do this. Is there anyone who can explain it to me? In fact, I know very little at all about Wordpress. So I would be thankful for precise and succinct instructions.

    Solution:

For bloggers, the use of a dynamic PowerPoint presentation in a blog post is a cool credit to Web traffic. However, a presentation is no more alive when you link it directly to your WordPress blog. All that appear in front of your eyes is a set of static images rather than an animated presentation. Animation and wipes get missing. Movie clips fail to play. So does the background music. Sounds not a smart idea.

Well, what is a better way to add a presentation to WordPress blog without loss of PowerPoint components? A critical consideration is to convert the PowerPoint presentation to video that fits to the Web.

    Step-by-step instructions:

    1. Convert the PowerPoint presentation to video. You can take PowerPoint for Web, a dedicated PPT to FLV conversion software that turns a PowerPoint presentation to web-ready video (FLV). Needless to worry about the output quality. You can find a smooth reemergence of every single bit of your presentation in the output video. See more details of how to convert a PowerPoint presentation to FLV, please go to the page http://www.dvd-ppt-slideshow.com/ppt-to-flash/

    2. Upload the PowerPoint video to YouTube. Log into YouTube with your YouTube ID. In the Video File Upload page, press the Upload Video button to add in the PowerPoint-generated video. When it is successfully published on YouTube, you will see its URL and Embed Code on the right. Copy the code in the Embed field and paste to a notepad.

    3. Embed the video to your WordPress blog. Do the following: Open your WordPress blog and go the post where the PowerPoint video is going to insert. Extract the whole Embed code from the previous notepad and put into the specified blog post. The code should be like this:

That's it! Now you can play the PowerPoint presentation in your WordPress blog in stream video.

Send PowerPoint Presentations in Video or DVD Movie

Convert PowerPoint to video or DVD movie for an ideal distribution of presentations

You may get crabby this experience. You made a presentation with MS PowerPoint, perhaps 2003, perhaps 2007. You sent it to a friend or a client. However, it fails to work with the recipient. A couple of reasons may explain why he/she cannot view the presentation of your great efforts:

Version difference or viewer absence - The recipient has neither PowerPoint 2003/2007 installed, nor is he/she bothered to install a viewer for the source PowerPoint program. • Cross-platform incompatibility - Your presentation was made on a Windows operating system while he/she uses a Mac.

Another problem is, you don't want your PowerPoint stuff to be modified by others, simply to show it in full look to someone. Is it possible of that? Virtually, it is very simple. The secret lies in a slight change in format, i.e. convert your PowerPoint presentation to video or DVD movie using PowerPoint to DVD (Or PowerPoint to Video for a sole video presentation). While video and DVD movie are made in a format independent of any software, hardware, and operating systems, any recipient with a computer or a DVD player can open and read the your video or movie slideshow.

The next is, how to burn the PowerPoint presentation to DVD or convert the PPT to video?

    • If you want to take your presentation to someone, then you'd better burn it onto a DVD disc with the mentioned PowerPoint to DVD burner.

    a. Download and install Moyea PPT to DVD Burner. Make sure there is a blank DVD disc in your PC. b. When it is running, import your presentation. Select the output to Standard or HD DVD. Customize the output DVD options like menus and logos if necessary.

    c. Click Burn to start converting PowerPoint to DVD.

Now you can draw out the DVD disc writing with your PowerPoint content. The PowerPoint movie can go with you to any person of a visit, and play independently on any computer or TV with a DVD player.

    • If you are to email the presentation or share on YouTube, MySpace or likewise, simply convert it to video using the dedicated Moyea PPT to Video Converter. Do the following:

    a. First, download and install Moyea PPT to Video Converter. b. Second, click Import to add in your presentation. Adjust the video output to a proper one in accordance with the end-device, e.g. AVI, FLV, WMV, 3GP, etc. Make custom settings of the output video options if possible. c. Click Convert to start converting PowerPoint to video.

OK. Email the PowerPoint video as an attachment, post it to a supported website like YouTube, or connect to a portable device like Blackberry, iPod, iPhone, etc. The video presentation of your wit can reach anyone on the Internet or Intranet, or anyone you meet on the go.

Smart Idea to Shut out PowerPoint Hackers

A dozen of holes set off a sweeping stir in millions of PowerPoint users on Tuesday, May 12. Hackers are seeking to attack users of MS PowerPoint. The critical attack affects a string of sister products like Microsoft Office 2000, 2003, 2007 and XP, as well as PowerPoint Viewer and Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 file formats. Despite 14 patches by Microsoft to plug the PowerPoint flaws that may allow remote control of a compromised PC, users may face potential threats from the existing 13 PowerPoint holes.

How do you keep yourself away from a hacker? Obviously, filing your big presentation in PowerPoint, a sort of great vulnerability, is never a wise choice. Following the after-wit of Microsoft security update is neither ideal. Suppose an attack to PowerPoint program that triggers the overall paralysis of your Office kit, even the entire operating system with a good collection of essentials. It must be a huge loss unless utterly prepared with a backup.

Then what is a viable workaround to prevent your presentation and PC from attacks? The crucial core is making a safe backup for every important presentation. The backup could be either an online video or a takeaway DVD, for both video and DVD are read-only formats that work efficient in preventing their data from corruption.

Plan 1 Burn PowerPoint presentation onto DVD as portable backup

Burning a presentation, especially a presentation of importance, onto a DVD disc is a top practice of protection. When your presentation is burned to DVD with a burning expert like PowerPoint to DVD Burner, it is not only safer, but also more professional in look, more extensive in use. As a presentation is saved in standalone DVD, it will never be afraid of a PowerPoint hacker. Besides, you can take a DVD presentation to any computer regardless of the installation of PowerPoint, and play your presentation like a professional movie on a DVD player.

    Simple steps of burning:

Sort out one or more PowerPoint files as concerned, and input into the PowerPoint to DVD burner. Of course, you can also add your favorite music, insert a logo of your identity, or custom DVD menus using the burning software. Once OK with all, click Start to leave the burner the entire burning task. In a minute or two, a staggering slideshow in organized DVD will appear at your sight.

For a detailed description of burning PowerPoint to DVD, refer to the corresponding how-to stuff

Plan 2 Save PowerPoint presentation to video as online backup

If you prefer an online option, then you can save your presentation to video that can probably be published on the Web. Take the all-in-one PowerPoint to Video Converter, or simply the specific PowerPoint to FLV Converter, to energize your PowerPoint presentation on a blog, a Podcast, YouTube and MySpace in form of FLV.

While finalized in flash video, your presentation can withstand any attack from a PowerPoint hacker. Another beneficial plus is that it is helpful to bring a web stance of your presentation in popular FLV.

    A Quick Look at Converting:

Similar to the burning in Plan 1, all you have to do is done in 3 clicks with the PowerPoint to video converter- import the specified presentation(s), set the output video options, and click Convert to start the conversion process. Get yourself a cup of coffee.

Related how-to guide, see in Tutorial of converting PowerPoint to video

After the completion of converting, you can upload the video presentation to any supported Web destination.

To be concluded, keep in mind the importance of backing your PowerPoint presentations up, either in protective DVD or Web video, to shut out dangerous hackers and safeguard your PC stuff.
